ABOUT

This project aimed to implement & demonstrate player navigation methods and techniques through a linear 3D blockout level.


DISCLAIMER: Hussam Yasar Raja did NOT develop ANY tech, audio or art assets; they were ONLY modified by the undersigned as needed. The undersigned's sole responsibility was designing a complete level.


LEVEL DESCRIPTION

Assume the role of a battle-hardened alien on his journey to defeat an invasive species from another dimension using his entire arsenal and enhanced movement in this intense blockout level, built around three key game design pillars: combat, traversal, and puzzle-solving.


CONTROLS

Movement

  • Move Forward: W
  • Move Backward: S
  • Strafe Left: A
  • Strafe Right: D
  • Jump: Space (single press)
  • Double Jump: Space (double press)
  • Dash: Shift (single press)
  • Double Dash: Shift (double press)

Combat

  • Switch Weapon: Scroll Wheel
  • Select Primary Weapon: 1
  • Select Secondary Weapon: 2
  • Select Melee Weapon: 3
  • Select Tertiary Weapon: 4
  • Sword Slash: F
  • Reload: R
  • Primary Weapon Function: Left Mouse Button
  • Secondary Weapon Function: Right Mouse Button

Menu

  • Open Menu: ESC or P

Settings

  • By default the audio and visual settings are set to the highest quality, to change this: Open Menu: ESC or P: Open Settings
